The School Building Committee (SBC) has settled on six design options for a new potential Lexington High School (LHS), and a vote for the options is expected to take place in November, 2024.

Note: Some aspects such as estimated cost are expected to change and will be updated by the SBC meeting on October 15th

The options include 2 addition/renovations to the original school, 3 completely new constructions on the field, and 1 phased new construction where the high school currently is. A “phased” construction means parts of the building will be destroyed and rebuilt in succession, over time, until a new school is complete.

If a decision is made, the project will be able to move forward into the next stage–Schematic Design. In this stage, the town collaborates with the MSBA to develop a stronger schematic design with more detail to establish the scope, budget and schedule for the project.
